How do you propagate basil?

                What do you think I did the other day? I “stole” a basil twig from a friend’s harden. Well of course I asked him before that … or at least I told him. Of course it was probably easier to go to the supermarket and buy a bag of basil seeds, but doing it this way my basil will have a story behind it. And you know how much I love stories.

                And since I haven’t posted something about my plants for a while, today I will show you how easy it is to grow your own spice garden.

                1. Cut a few twigs of basil;

                2. Cut the leaves from the base of the twigs;

                3. Put the cuttings in a container with water, just next to the window;

                4. In a few days, when you will notice that they have already formed small roots, plant the cuttings in soil.

                All you have to do now is to make sure that the basil has enough sun and water. Doing this small steps your garden will grow a little every day. Rome wasn’t built in a day, you know!
