My secret is easy: Goji. I know, it sounds weird. But it’s just food.
But it is one of the best foods. What’s great is that you can eat it raw, you can make juice, tea, you can put it in salads or in various foods.
It’s something that it should be in everyone’s diet.
Those of you who have not heard of Goji are probably wondering what they are. They’re actually berries. They’re soft and taste just like raisins.
They are rich in calcium, zinc, selenium, beta-carotene (more than carrots have), vitamins (A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C and E) and loooooots of antioxidants.
They don’t make you fat, moreover, helps you lose weight.
It strengthens the immune system, is anti-inflammatory, and it has alot of other benefits.
And I’ll tell you a secret: it has great anti-aging properties and helps your memory.
Like any food, I recommend you to eat it with moderation. I hope I have opened your appetite for these fruits. Try them out of curiosity, you’ll never stop.
My favorite recipe with Goji is certainly a nutritious salad.
Like any salad, you can do it however you want. There shouldn’t be a specific recipe. You prepare it with what you like and what is handy. You don’t have tomatoes, do not use it. You don’t have peppers, use cucumbers. You don’t have mozzarella, use brie or don’t put any cheese at all. It’s your choice.
Today I opened the fridge and I improvised a salad using the following:
- 1 tomato,
- 1 cucumber,
- 1 green pepper,
- 1 green onion,
- 50 gr mozzarella,
- 1 tablespoon goji,
- Olive oil (extra virgin, as always),
- Balsamic vinegar (if you do not like it or yu don’t have any you can replace it with 1 tablespoon of lemon juice).
I washed the vegetables, I cut it, I added it into a bowl, I seasoned it and then I devoured it. Simple, tasty, quick and healthy.
